FJ TOTW MATCHDAY 37

Announcements - May 27th 2017

What a weekend. This had to be the toughest choice for TOTW all season.

Honorable mentions go to: Pumas who made it 3 Charity 7s wins in a row. Fussa and Zion both won to keep their dreams of Division 1 football alive. Real Celts secured the Division 3 title with a fine 3-1 victory over the Jets.
However the Hibs, have made it two in a row with a victory over fellow Division 1 title chasers Panthers FC.

A very even first half with chances at both ends.  An early injury to Koji Oguro saw him leave the field and not return - blunted the Panthers strikeforce somewhat.  Hibs took the lead when Yuji Furukawa found space in the area to sidefoot home a pinpoint cross.  1-0 at half time.
Panthers had to come out and score at least 2 in the second half - they needed the win.  However two goals in the first 5 mins of the second half put the game out of Panthers reach - Tomomitsu  Kunii was left with a simple finish after a break  and then Alex Saito headed home from a corner.  As Panthers tried to push forward to get back into the game, Hibs found more space at the back and further goals from Kodai Stalph, Christophe Dubbs and a second from Yuki Furukawa put a gloss on the scoreline as Hibs march towards the double.
