FJ TOTW MATCHDAY 36

FJC News - May 27th 2017

The most successful team in TML history has done it again. Another trophy, they had to battle for it, but battle they did.

After an exciting Plate Final, Pumas and Tokyo Hibernian were determined to put on a show for the 30 plus spectators who had come to watch the FJ Cup Final.

Hibs started strongly and Yuki Stalph put them one up with a penalty. Hibs were on top and pushing for a second. A long ball caught the Hibs defence and keeper napping and Joel Guasch scored with a delightful lob. 1-1. Before the break Hibs broke down the right wing and the ball was cut back to Naozumi Ogawa to make it 2-1.
The second half saw Pumas try and catch the Hibs on the break. Hibs were keeping it solid at the back and a 3rd goal was soon scored by Edward Gough. Pumas went all out attack and pulled a goal back through Frenchman Alex Kline. In the dying minutes, the Hibs keeper came out, got caught, a scrap followed which saw the ball cleared off the line by Sam Chamovitz who then collided with the post. The ball then somehow hit the post with a follow up shot. Sam had to be substituted and an ambulance was soon called. Speedy recovery Sam.
The Hibs held out to claim their first of two possible trophies this season. Congratulations for winning this weeks FJ TOTW and this seasons FJ Cup. We look forward to seeing all of you on June 24th for the Award Ceremony.
