About
Lions FC, founded by the Sudanese community in Tokyo in April 2005, has grown with Sudanese players and friends from all around the world. In their short history they have participated in different charity tournaments, won the UNICEF Footy Japan Charity 6′s Plate in 2007, and were runners-up in various tournaments including 7-aside. The excellent results achieved encouraged them to move to the next level and join the TML where they finished mid-table in their first season. They were division 2 champions with 10 consecutive wins 2007/8 and were unbeaten in all 11-aside matches for over 13 months. Lions are now in Division 1, and despite lingering in mid-table obscurity, have already managed a few upsets. Although Sudanese are dominant in the team, the Lions welcome useful new players from other nationalities. If youre hungry for success, and think youre good, please contact us.
