The bottom derby
Announcements -
It's been a rough season for Fussa FC and Albion Old Boys this year. Ignoring YCAC Pulse (who will not be able to finish all their games this season), Fussa and Albion are at the bottom of Division 3. The bottom derby took place at St Marys, Albion Old Boys’ home ground on a hot humid noon. The location favoring Albion, the weather favoring Fussa, both teams excited to finally get their three points!
The game started off in Fussa’s favor, using their youth to press relentlessly. Albion held on well, using their familiarity with the pitch and understanding which vital zones to hold on. However, Fussa were still able to pack two goals in the first half while Albion only got one in return.
As the second half started the game developed into a turn based RPG, with both teams seemingly taking a turn at attack while the defense parked the bus. While Mourinho might have seen success with such tactics, it clearly did not work out for Albion and Fussa. A fireworks of goals ensued where both teams scored in turns. When the dust settled, it was Fussa that remained standing. 5-4, Fussa winning the bottom derby.
