The rebrand in the summer was controversial. The Geckoes turned into SUNS FC. Geckoes had a rich history in the FJ Cup & Plate. A decade ago they won the Cup and 5 years ago they won the Plate. The Plate final will always be remembered for the 16/15 penalty shootout scoreline.

SUNS FC have carried on the tradition and have reached the Plate FInal. Goals from their Brazilian forward Jonas Mogui and Ryoichi Moiya plus an own goal from the Zion defender was enough to earn them a 3-0 victory.
They will now meet Dutch FC in the final. It should be a good final with both teams liking to play the ball on the floor. 
Well done to SUNS FC for reaching the final and also winning this award for a 2nd time this season.
