Robert Walters Team of The Week 11

With the current events happening, several pitches have closed down. Hachioji closed down for the entirety of March, thus Fussa vs Brunello and Albion Old Boys vs Jets was moved over to Shigaku. The hottest fixture of this weekend was the division 3 match between first and second place, Fussa (1st) vs Brunello (2nd). The first time these two played, it was in August at Shibuya Sports Center. 4-0 for Fussa, a lopsided victory for the base boys.

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines everyone! What better way to spend valentines then to check up on your loved ones. I am of course talking about the TML website.  Over the past 3 weeks, 2 big mile stones have been accomplished. 1) Saitama Jets have had their first victory since October 2018. A 19-game winless curse was finally ended. Not only did they get a clean sheet, but they won by 6 goals over King George FC. With that, Saitama Jets have pulled themselves out of last place and will certainly see more wins to come in the future.

Robert Walters TOTW 10

This weeks Team of the Week goes to Nepal United over their win against Zion FC. Zion vs Nepal was an interesting clash. Both teams were very succesful in their cup/plate run last season. Zion ended up winning the cup finals against Hibs, Nepals lost in the plate finals against Suns. As expected from a clash of different divisions, Zion seemed like they had the game in the bag. The first half was all in favor for Zion. Nepal missed a penalty and a poor blunder by Nepals keeper let in Zions corner kick. Half time score, 4-1.

Team of The Week 9

2019's last fixtures ended with a rainy sunday.  A big upset in divison 2, YC&AC managed to win against Suns raising them from 9th place into 7th place (tied). Eastern Capital are looking strong as ever, winning against Nepal United. At this rate they will be getting promoted into division 1, a formidable feat given that they were in division 3 just last season!
2019's last Robert Walters Team of the Week goes to British Embassy! Their first and second won both their games, scoring a total of 16 goals.

Team of the Week 8

Despite being mid December, the TML has been blessed with fairly warm weather this weekend. Real Celts have won their first game of the season to mid table Guts. Ironically Guts beat Kanto Celts (the Celts' first team) in the Cup a few weeks ago. Tomoyoshi Tsuchiya (Lions FC) scores his first hat trick of the season on the beautiful grass pitch in Tendaicho but got outshined by the precise passing of Sala's strikers and midfielders.
