A Subarashii day for the Pumas

Football is a special sport in so many different ways. It keeps you fit, it creates friendships and the occasional rivilary. It’s played by people of all ages and also people from all walks of life. Saturday was the culmination of all the above sentences.

In a match solely for pride, Grønsund’s goal was enough to secure victory for BFC Vagabonds.

Hachioji Park, Sunday May 22, 2016 Due to Saturday’s result, in which Syu Syu Aoyama FC defeated British Embassy FC 3-1, BFC Vagabonds’ relegation was assured and they would be joining King George FCin Division 3 for the upcoming season. With both teams playing to stay off the bottom of the table, it was a match lacking in goal scoring opportunities if not effort.

FJ Team of the Week 8

A one nil victory for the Pumas was enough to secure the Division 2 title and back to back promotions. To top of a good few days for Pumas they have won the latest FJ TOTW award. Congratulations Pumas. Special mention must go to Musketeers who secured the Division 3 title.

FJ Team of the Week 7

With the first silverware up for grabs it was a tough choice for the FJ TOTW. We have opted for Swiss Kickers. After going a goal down after 12 seconds, it took them a while to get hold of the match. Goals from Shimon Kato and Captain Yusuke Tanaka was enough for Swiss to claim the famous FJ trophy.

FJ Team of the Week 6

Kanto Celts FC have come the 6th winner of the FJ TOTW award. With the pressure on table toppers Swiss to increase their lead at the top, goals from Satoshi Mitsuda and Celts newboy Shotaro Fujimatsu was enough to overcome a strong looking Swiss team. This fixture will be repeated this weekend in the FJ Cup Final. Could Celts become the first back to back winners of this award?

FJ Team of the Week 5

With only two matches played over the Golden Week weekend, Real Celts have won the 5th edition of the FJ Team of the week.
A hat trick from Shousuke Yamagishi and 2 goals from one of Division 3's leading marksman Michael Dragsbaek helped Real to defeat Guts SC 9 goals to 1.

FJ Team of the Week 4

The battle for Promotion in Division 2 looks like it will go to the final weekends of the season. Sala FC stretched their unbeaten league run to 6 matches. Goals from Josh Bateson, Takahiro Kirihara and Shunsuke Nakatani helped defeat table toppers Pumas FC 3 -1. Sala were reduced to 10 men with 20 minutes to play. Leading 2-1 at the time they managed to score the 3rd with a classic counter attack move. Congratulations to Sala FC.

Raffle ticket sales for Refugees International Japan

Part of our fundraising for our Charity 7's, the staff at Footy Japan wil be selling Raffle tickets. We have some fantastic prizes. For a list of prizes please click HERE. Tickets cost ¥500 or 5 for ¥2000.  Most tickets will be sold before or after TML matches.  "You've got to be in it to win it."
